Become a Cideshow writer/showrunner
hey wordsmiths...
If you're a writer with a desire to write for a series or even become a showrunner, Cideshow has an opportunity for you.
We're on a mission to shake things up, disrupt the status quo, and turn the entertainment industry on its head. And guess what? We want you to be part of the revolution.
our partnership
We’ll be raising investments by having an awesome catalog of shows that investors can sign onto as executive producers, and for these shows (specifically, our innovate quirky big idea shows that we’re looking to define the brand of Cideshow) we need writers and showrunners.
Keep in mind, we have 0 dollars and 0 cents now. We specifically want writers that have a desire to grow our brand and help shape a show that either gets funding from our audience or sells to a bigger network.
What is the process?
So, you think you've got what it takes to rock the boat and make waves in the world of storytelling? Here's your chance to prove it:
Step 1: Fill out the form (likk below) along with a writing sample that's so damn good it'll make our heads spin. As it should go without saying, we have no rights to your submission, we will not use it in any way, and you submitting your sample does not guarantee you’ll get a spot as a writer.
Step 2: If your writing knocks our socks off (although, keep in mind, these socks are on tight), we'll invite you to take a peek behind the curtain. We'll let you in on our top-secret stash of series we’re looking to create ,and trust us, they're wild AF.
Step 3: From this list, you can pick your poison(s) and we’ll give you a prompt to write on based upon your selection. But here's the kicker: if your show gets picked up, you might not be just a writer – you'll be the freaking showrunner. That's right, you'll be calling the shots, steering the ship, and making magic happen. Although we will be hunting for other writers who are right for a particular show to write for additional episodes/be part of the writer’s room
Please keep in mind that even being selected to write an episode of the show, does not guarantee any compensation. This just means it’ll go on the official Angel Investor catalog that we show to investors. Even if an investor picks your show, the payment will be low. The goal is to get a few episodes made so they can either find a large audience (which will be funded by the audience and likely mean a larger payment) or it gets sold to a bigger network (which will for sure ensure a bigger payment, with you ideally staying on as the showrunner).
Please sign on for the love of the craft and know that you’re taking a gamble along with us. We hope that you believe in us, as we will believe in you.
So, if you're ready to unleash your inner badass and join us on this wild ride, then what are you waiting for? Dust off that keyboard, crack those knuckles, and let's make some freaking magic happen.
